Notes

'Sweet Invitation' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Sweet Invitation') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It forms a clump and grows at a moderate pace. Fragrant blooms open in early to late spring and attract bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Black Parrot tulip, Minuteman hosta, and Cinnamon fern.
