Notes

'Sweet Shelly' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sweet Shelly') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant flowers have cerise guard petals around a cream center. Stems are strong and hold the 5½ inch blooms upright. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and it blooms in early summer.

Pairs well with Rose, Lily of the valley, and Ostrich fern.
