Notes

Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembra) is a slow-growing evergreen tree for specimen planting, winter interest, privacy screens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows in a tight column, tolerates salt, and draws birds. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it room to reach its full height.

Pairs well with Royal Star star magnolia, Switchgrass, and Common snowdrop.
