Notes

'Tan You' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Tan You') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single light yellow-green flowers with pink striations open in early to late spring and face upward. The stems stand upright, so you do not need to stake them. The flowers suit traditional Chinese floral arrangements.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
