Notes

'Tao Hua Xiang Yu' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Tao Hua Xiang Yu') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single pink flowers open in late spring and have deep pink centers with petal edges that fade to nearly white. Each bloom has a large, dark purple flare and a light fragrance. The upright plant grows up to about 6½ feet tall.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, September Charm anemone, and Stargazer lily.
