Notes

'Templar' rose (Rosa 'Templar') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It has dark green leaves and fragrant, medium red blooms that appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn. The upright, dense habit has few or no thorns. Alexander W. Montgomery Jr bred it in 1924.

Pairs well with Chocolate cosmos, Snapdragon, Society garlic, and Carolina jessamine.
