Notes

'Temple of Athena' peony (Paeonia 'Temple of Athena') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, semi-double flowers open mid-pink and fade to light pink, while the ruffled outer petals stay darker. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The upright plants reach about 24 inches and need no support.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Smooth hydrangea, Nodding onion, and Blue grama.
