Notes
'Tengawai Blush' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Tengawai Blush') is a shrub for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The ruffled petals open in mid purple, with lilac-pink or fuchsia tones. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001 as a seedling of 'Seidl' #119.
Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Paperbark maple, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
