Notes

'Terpsichore' peony (Paeonia 'Terpsichore') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant coral blooms have orange and red veins, and the petals move in and out as though in a dance. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, Grape hyacinth, and Ironweed.
