Notes
'Tess of the d'Urbervilles' rose (Rosa 'Tess of the d'Urbervilles') is a shrub for borders, containers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. David C. H. Austin bred it in 1998. The dark red blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies. Thorny, bushy stems make a good barrier.
Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Clematis, and Grape hyacinth.
