Notes

'Theia' peony (Paeonia 'Theia') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Single flowers open peachy orange in early to late spring and fade to creamy yellow. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Nate Bremer bred this peony, and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Rainbow's End hosta, Spiderwort, and Inkberry.
