Notes
'Thurlow Weed' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Thurlow Weed') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large flowers are single and dark Tyrian pink, with red tips on smooth carpels. They open in mid to late spring and sit above the foliage. The plant spreads to a medium size, so give it room.
Pairs well with Immortality iris, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
