'Ting Ling' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ting Ling') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are light red with narrow staminodes of the same color. Side buds open to form a perfect triangle and cover the seed pod on the central stem.
Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Limelight hydrangea.
