Notes

'Tira' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Tira') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its pink flowers have a true rose form, with long petals that curve outward at the edges. Tall, stiff stems hold the blooms upright in late midseason. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Spotted dead nettle, Sedge, Ostrich fern, and Little Beauty tulip.
