Notes

Toad lily (Tricyrtis formosana) is a clumping perennial for shade gardens, woodland edges, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. White blooms with reddish-purple spots and yellowish throats open in autumn. Bees and hummingbirds visit the flowers. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Wood lily, and Blue fescue.
