Notes

'Gilt Edge' toad lily (Tricyrtis formosana 'Gilt Edge') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its white flowers have purple spotting. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees and hummingbirds visit the blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Woodland phlox, Oakleaf hydrangea, and Lungwort.
