Notes
'Toivo Kurmet' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Toivo Kurmet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, upward facing flowers have reddish-pink petals and a yellow center. Many lateral buds extend the bloom time, and the plants do not need support. Sulev Savisaar bred it.
Pairs well with Orange lily, Ostrich fern, and Shrub rose.
