Notes

'Tollens' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Tollens') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. You can cut the flowers for a vase indoors. Give the shrub room in a border or perennial bed so it has space to grow. E. H. Krelage & Zoon bred it in 1867.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Toad lily, Switchgrass, and Little Lime panicle hydrangea.
