Notes

'Tom Cat' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Tom Cat') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant carmine-red flowers have a yellow center and open in early summer. Strong stems hold the blooms up, and the plant stays about 26 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Garlic chives, and Kentucky bluegrass.
