Notes

'Tong Que Tai' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Tong Que Tai') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open in mid to late spring and face upward. New leaves emerge dark reddish-orange. The spreading plant reaches about 42 inches at maturity.

Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Korean spice viburnum, Pink Impression tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
