Notes

'Tonka Mulberry' peony (Paeonia 'Tonka Mulberry') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deep mulberry pink single blooms are 4½ inches wide, and the short, upright stems need no support. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with June hosta, Blue grama, Black Hero tulip, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
