Notes

'Torchlight' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Torchlight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are Japanese type blooms in deep rose pink. They show red in bud and have rounded petals around a ball of pointed petaloids tipped with white. Mrs. Walter Campbell Lyman bred it.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Limelight hydrangea, Siberian squill, and Cinnamon fern.
