Notes

'Trojan Night' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Trojan Night') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its reddish-purple, semi-double flowers are 25cm (9.8”) across and face upward. The blooms carry a slight spicy fragrance. Martin Lemon helped select it from a group of seedlings.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Cotoneaster.
