Notes

'Trompenburg' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg') is a tree for specimen planting, accents, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad shape, so give it room. The leaves turn color in fall, and bees and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Green and gold, Bracken, and Casa Blanca lily.
