Notes

'Troy' peony (Paeonia 'Troy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 30 inches tall and bears single, fragrant, carmine-red blooms that attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Spanish bluebell, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
