Notes

'Tuilad' Atlantic nine-bark (Physocarpus opulifolius 'Tuilad') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and forms an arching shape. Once settled in, it tolerates drought, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with New Jersey tea, Switchgrass, Indian Summer rudbeckia, and Inkberry.
