Notes
'Tumaini' clematis (Clematis 'Tumaini') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The mauve flowers carry deep pink stripes and open in spring, summer, and autumn, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Raymond J. Evison bred it in 2023.
Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Switchgrass, and Jeana garden phlox.
