Notes

'Twizel' peony (Paeonia 'Twizel') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The yellow blooms with cerise edges, apricot shading, and dark red flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Mock orange, Black Parrot tulip, and Jackmanii clematis.
