Notes

'Uchida' lily (Lilium speciosum 'Uchida') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant, recurved pink flowers have white edges and bloom from summer into autumn on upright stems 3 to 4 feet tall. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, but the plant is toxic to cats.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Polish Spirit clematis, and Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum.
