'Ukarejishi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Ukarejishi') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Peonies like this one give a bold show in a mixed border. Cut the blooms to bring them indoors.

Pairs well with Weigela, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Blue grama.
