Notes

'Urania' peony (Paeonia 'Urania') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Golden yellow single flowers have two rows of petals and small red flares at the base. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The blooms are fragrant and open in late spring on sturdy stems.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Blue fescue, and Lily.
