Notes

'Valiant' grape (Vitis 'Valiant') is a woody vine for arbors, fences, and wildlife gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees and birds visit it, and the greenish flowers are fragrant.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Mountain mint, and Gladiolus.
