Notes

'Valley of the Giants' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Valley of the Giants') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant lavender flowers measure 8 to 10 inches across and carry dark maroon-black flares at the center. Plants can pass six feet in height and width in ten years, so give it room. Nate Bremer bred it.

Pairs well with Fragrant sumac, Blue fescue, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
