Notes

'Van Dyck' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Van Dyck') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant salmon-pink flowers with mauve shading open in early summer. Crousse bred it in 1879. The compact plants reach about 28 inches tall.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Pincushion flower, and Sedge.
