Notes

'Vanilla Cream II' wild indigo (Baptisia 'Vanilla Cream II') is a perennial for borders, specimen plantings, and mass plantings in larger gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Creamy vanilla flowers open in early to late summer and attract bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Dark seed pods follow the flowers and deepen with age into fall.

Pairs well with Purple lovegrass, Cushion spurge, and Ornamental onion.
