Notes

'Vanilla Twist' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Vanilla Twist') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant cream blooms have shaggy, twisted petals with cherry-red streaks and green highlights. It opens in early to mid spring and has good stem strength at about 28 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1995.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Pincushion flower, and Sedge.
