Notes

'Vanity' verbena (Verbena bonariensis 'Vanity') is an annual for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It grows well in cool weather and can ride out a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its airy, stiff stems carry lilac purple flowers from early summer until hard frost. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Let it self-seed for next year's display.

Pairs well with Purple Coneflower coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and California poppy.
