Notes

'Buenos Aires' purple top (Verbena bonariensis 'Buenos Aires') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Lavender-purple flowers open from early to late summer and again from early to late autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Sundrops, and Mondo grass.
