Notes

'Waterfall' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum var. dissectum 'Waterfall') is a tree for specimen plantings, accents, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad form, and reddish-purple spring flowers attract bees and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, and Ornamental onion.
