Notes

'Vatican White' clary sage (Salvia sclarea 'Vatican White') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clump up to 36 inches tall and blooms in spring and again in summer. Butterflies and bees visit the fragrant flowers.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Manhattan oriental poppy, and Alina rose.
