Notes

'Verity' peony (Paeonia 'Verity') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tall and fine, it bears single, fragrant, light flesh pink flowers that attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
