Notes

'Viktor' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Viktor') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers have 8 to 10 heart-shaped, salmon-pink petals with cream-colored flares. Each bloom measures 7 to 8 inches across and sits alone on its stem. André Laurion raised it from seed in 2011.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Royal Standard hosta, and Miss Kim lilac.
