Notes

'Village Talk' peony (Paeonia 'Village Talk') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The huge semi-single blooms are carmine-pink with a cream center, and they are fragrant. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, First Frost hosta, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
