Notes
'Ville de Nancy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ville de Nancy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Calot bred it in 1872. The fragrant, full double blooms are rosy magenta and open in late spring. The stems are green and stout.
Pairs well with White trillium, Ostrich fern, and Hairy aster.
