Notes

'Vincennes' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Vincennes') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white bomb blooms open flushed with pink and yellow, then fade to pure white. They have a rose fragrance and appear early on tall, stiff stems. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Iris, Picture tulip, and Ostrich fern.
