Notes

'Violet Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Violet Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant violet flowers have rose-red flares, and bees and butterflies visit them. New leaves emerge burgundy and turn green as they mature. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Little bluestem, and Limelight hydrangea.
