Notes
'Violet Queen' autumn crocus (Crocus sieberi 'Violet Queen') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and most soil types. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It blooms in early to late winter and again in early to late spring. Bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Alpine squill, Common snowdrop, White squill, and Autumn crocus.
