Notes

Alpine squill (Scilla bifolia) is a bulb for borders, containers, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its blue flowers open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Plants reach just 3 to 6 inches tall and wide, so tuck them at the front of a bed.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Spanish bluebell, and Sedge.
