Notes

'Virginia Emerson' peony (Paeonia 'Virginia Emerson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, light pink double flowers fade to silvery tips in the sun, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Don Hollingsworth bred it.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Pink Impression tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
