Notes
'Virmalised' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Virmalised') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light lavender flowers open in late spring and face upward. Apricot petalodes fill the center of each bloom. The plant spreads but does not need staking.
Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Aromatic aster, and Ostrich fern.
